Isla Scott

Isla qualified from Bath School of Physiotherapy in 1992 where she experienced a very hands-on training, with a heavy bias on good manual skills. Isla has nearly 20 years of experience in musculo-skeletal medicine.  She is fully qualified in Sports Massage (Level 4), Clinical Pilates, has advanced sports trauma management certification and is currently completing the final stage of her Sports Physiotherapy MSc.  Isla has developed particular interests in shoulder injury management, performance enhancement, cycling injuries, motorsport, and chronic complex spinal pain, in addition to retaining her broad skills base.

Isla has extensive multisport experience both in the clinical setting and on tour, having worked at The Olympic Games in Athens, three Commonwealth Games (Manchester, Melbourne, and Pune), World Cup rugby in South America and the Caribbean, cycling, (with the Great Britain squad) and the World Superbikes as a physiotherapist.  For the last two years, Isla has worked alongside the team in Clinica Mobile, the mobile medical support unit at the World Superbikes, providing physiotherapy services to some of the world’s most talented superbike, superstock and supersport riders.   Isla had been appointed lead Physiotherapist for organising the Isle of Man’s 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games physiotherapy services.

Isla is known for her enthusiasm for the physiotherapy profession, her attention to detail and for being able to sort out problems where others have failed.  She enjoys treating all ages and abilities and feels strongly about long term solutions.
