Staff Profiles
| Isla Scott
Isla qualified from Bath School of Physiotherapy in 1992 where she experienced a very hands-on training, with a heavy bias on good manual skills. Isla has nearly 20 years of experience in musculo-skeletal medicine. She is fully qualified in Sports Massage (Level 4), Clinical Pilates and has advanced sports trauma management certification. Isla has recently graduated from the prestigious Bath University with a Masters degree in Sports Physiotherapy. This was the culmination of over 3 years of hard work and saw just 5 students graduate from an initial intake of over 40. Her final year dissertation is to be presented at an international conference in Krakow by one of the UK's leading Physiotherapists.
Isla has extensive multisport experience both in the clinical setting and on tour, having worked at The Olympic Games in Athens, three Commonwealth Games (Manchester, Melbourne, and Delhi), two Commonwealth Youth Games (Pune and Isle of Man), World Cup rugby in South America and the Caribbean, cycling, (with the Great Britain squad) and the World Superbikes as a physiotherapist. For the last three years, Isla has worked alongside the team in Clinica Mobile, the mobile medical support unit at the World Superbikes, providing physiotherapy services to some of the world’s most talented superbike, superstock and supersport riders. She has also been instrumental in setting up, and running, a professional Physiotherapy service at the TT, MGP and Southern 100. Isla organised and ran the polyclinic team of Physiotherapists at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games in the Isle of Man.
Isla is known for her enthusiasm for the physiotherapy profession, her attention to detail and for being able to sort out problems where others have failed. She enjoys treating all ages and abilities and feels strongly about long term solutions.

Cath Davis
Cath left the Royal Navy specifically to pursue physiotherapy as a second career and came into the profession in 2001. She graduated as top of her intake with first class honours and worked in Bradford; one of only 5 NHS physiotherapy services in the UK to hold the Government’s charter mark for excellence.
Whilst gaining valuable experience in all physiotherapy disciplines in the NHS, Cath also worked at a large private clinic in Bingley where her enthusiasm for orthopaedic rehabilitation was quickly apparent. Compounded with the challenges of a busy trauma ward and outpatient department, Cath gained extensive experience supporting specialist consultants in ensuring their patients get the best outcome from the surgery they have had.
Cath joined Scott Physiotherapy in 2009 and, whilst maintaining her interest in all aspects of musculo-skeletal Physiotherapy and neurodynamics, gained valuable experience working with the athletes through Isle of Man Sport Aid. This resulted in Cath being the Physiotherapist for the Isle of Man team at the recent Commonwealth Youth Games, helping the athletes as they became the first Manx team to win medals at this event.
It has always been Cath’s aim to make every individual’s experience of physiotherapy the best it can be. |
